CHILD AND ART MUSEUM Childrens' art is beautiful but little known. We often meet with charming and touching products of childrens' creativity which are of great interest to educators, because they say a lot about the child, about its mental development. But not all of this vast production can be called art. Its' examples come only from places, where the appropriate conditions have been created. Only then the original and unusual pieces deserving their place in the professional galleries are born. The ones that show the world through the eyes of a little artist.     These rare and precious examples of childrens' art should be collected and presented to the public. They should be a necessary addition to the professional artists' collections and should be considered an organic part of the national culture. And here comes The Museum of Childrens' Art. It complements the activity of the National Museum and the Museum of Ethnography with its collection of folk art. Such museums exist in many countries, because they are not only an attraction for visitors – they are also the source of knowledge for the specialists in many fields and the source of inspiration for teachers and adult artists. Our CHILD AND ART MUSEUM collects such works of childrens' art as paintings, sculptures, drawings, collages, puppets and others. We store them and present at permanent and temporary exhibitions. We also exchange exhibitions with other centers of childrens' art in Poland and abroad. The Museum serves as an instructional center for all those, who seek information and inspiration for their work with children.
